Overview

Flat magnetic separator is a magnetic separation equipment used for sorting magnetic materials, widely used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, building materials, and chemical engineering. It is mainly used to separate ferromagnetic substances (such as magnetite, ilmenite, manganese ore, etc.) from non-magnetic materials or remove iron impurities from raw materials.

1. Magnetic structure:

The core component of a flat magnetic separator is the built-in permanent magnet system, which usually uses high-strength neodymium iron boron magnetic blocks arranged in a specific magnetic circuit to form a high-intensity magnetic field.

2. Sorting process:

The material is evenly spread on a flat plate (conveyor belt) through a vibrating feeding device and enters the magnetic zone. Magnetic particles are adsorbed onto the surface of a flat plate under the action of a magnetic field, and detach when the plate moves to the non-magnetic zone (such as the edge of the magnetic field or the discharge end). Non magnetic materials are not affected by magnetic forces and fall along natural trajectories to achieve separation.

3. Sorting method:

Wet sorting: used for slurry, where magnetic particles adsorb and wash away non-magnetic parts with water flow.
